Who: Evelyn and open
What: eating
When: lunch
Where: Commissary (She likes it there...)

Evie sat eating her pancakes, well aware that she smelled of cigarettes and that pancakes was not a proper lunch. She wasn't feeling that hungry today though. She'd woken up feeling kinda rough and it just hadn't worn off. She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. She took a sip of her coffee and glanced at her watch. plenty of time to kill.

this is me assuming they're not related... (heh, siblings, that would be funny)
[ooc: this is so awkward, what am I supposed to call him?]

Peter's shift hadn't started yet (late shift) so he headed to the commissary. He grabbed a light lunch and scanned the room. Almost everyone having lunch right now were either people he didn't like or people who didn't like him.

Though there was that one woman...

All the other tables were full so he sat down across from her. "Hi," he snapped curtly. Kavanagh glanced at the woman's food.

"How did you get pancakes? Why would you get pancakes?"

[[Lol, nah, Evie has a brother, I should probably post her history in her profile or something. I always call my character Evie or Evelyn or something like that, You can call him Kavanagh if you want, doesn't bother me :) Also I'm assuming she can hear the striked out speech. If not just say and I'll change it. ]]

Evie glanced up at the stranger.
"Hi." She replied.
She was sure she'd seen him around, just not be introduced yet.
"The chef likes me. I stitched him up a couple of times. Pancakes are grand and I didn't want a big lunch."
Evie took another sip of her coffee and looked at the man again.
"I'm Dr Kavanagh." She said. She felt it was only sensible to introduce herself.

"What a coincidence, my name is Dr Kavanagh," he pursed his lips, trying to decide if she was making fun of him or not. Probably not, though, since she referenced stitches.

Medical doctor.

"When do you start your shift?" Kavanagh asked. It was possible that there was at least one person on base who hadn't judged him prematurely.

"No way, phd?" Evie asked with surprise, she didn't think Kavanagh was a very common name, then again the USA was a lot bigger than Ireland. She'd probably know him if he was a medical doctor. When he pursed his lips Evie looked down at her pancakes, she so wasn't in the mood for conflict. He seemed to ask his second question in a nicer tone though.
"'bout half an hour. You?" Evie smiled when she answer him. A smile couldn't hurt right?
